- History / Biographical:
- In 1905, Alexander Mitchell donated an acre of land at the corner of No.5 Road and Cambie Road to the municipality for the purpose of building a school. Mitchell School was opened in 1908 for students from grades 1 to 8. Between 1910 and 1920, the school also served as the meeting place for the small congregation which later became East Richmond United
